There is one upside to the not so-nice weather though. Its the perfect time to go to upstate New York to enjoy the gorgeous fall colors and to trek in the wilderness. So ISAC has decided to set up a one-day trek to Bear Mountain. The tentative date is Nov 5th, Saturday. Its a long weekend ..... just after your midterms (hopefully most of you finish your midterms by then). Now there are certain things to be decided about the trek which depends a lot of how many people plan to come. We'll take a Bus from the Port Authority Bus terminal at 8.45 am and reach Bear Mountain at 10.15 am. The last bus leaves Bear Mountain at 5 pm and reaches NYC at 7pm. The ticket costs 24$ round trip so with food etc. your total cost should be around 35$ max. U can ofcourse bring your food along if u'd like. In summary

Where: Bear Mountain (Upstate New York)
When: Nov 5th Saturday (Long weekend)
Why: Trek, Enjoy Fall colors, First ISAC outdoor event, post-midterm anti-frustration/anti-suicide event
How: Public Bus (Leave NYC at 8.45 am and come back same day at 7 pm),
Travel time: 1.5 hours one way How much: Travel (24$) + optional expenses on food etc.

So I need you guys to RSVP just to get a headcount. Yay !! Time for a poll again. Please go here and answer the poll. We are also planning a one-day (optionally overnight) skiing trip in the winter.
